Jack's Confirmation

A crazy game of "spoons" with cousins
Ben and Joe-Joe
The Jensen's were all back this weekend to celebrate Jack's confirmation. It was wonderful catching up with them all and it seemed like the boys had all grown so much since we said good-bye to them in February. Even though miles have separated us for the past few months, it is amazing with all of the technology how blessed we have been to still feel close ( Drew's sport commentating online, numerous texts back and forth, and countless emails).
Jack's confirmation verse was Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" which is so fitting for Jack. He is an amazing kid and not only are we always inspired by his delightful wit, his charming smile, his kind heart, but also his perseverance each and every day as he battles diabetes. Prayers for a cure and constant watch over Jack's health are always in our hearts. Congratulations Jack on this celebration of confirming your faith in Christ as your saviour -- May God Bless you each and every day, we LOVE YOU!

Cairney Easter Celebration

Elly and Ben enjoying a snack
Miss Elly fulfilling her "egg task" with success!
Mr. Ben is on the hunt for some eggs
Our two adorable bunnies and one beautiful butterfly
Gramma C. filled some eggs with candy and others with "Easter tasks".....as you can see, Kate opened one that said, "Hug your brother" which she was loving!!!  At least we have photo proof that is does happen occasionally (-:
Papa and Gramma C. hosted a fabulous Easter celebration for us. The weather was fantastic, food delicious as always and a great time with family ~~~ so blessed!

Easter Morning -- HE IS RISEN!!!

Miss Kate -- excited to gather her eggs
Not sure if this guy is awake yet!
The excitement of opening the treasures
 A quick picture after church
Who said that Kate did not have an Easter bonnet??
We woke up nice and early to some kids that were very excited to gather their eggs up and start finding the treasures hidden inside. Some edible, some not, but both were able to produce grins from ear to ear! After an amazing worship service at church we all left feeling so blessed not only by the obvious gifts we are given, but just by the endless everlasting love of Jesus Christ!!! -- HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!

We had a great day preparing our treats for Easter. While the boys were at baseball practice, Kate and I got all of our "peeps" in the nest treats ready. Those turned out so cute! Then in the afternoon we colored a few eggs, and had such a great time doing that......everyone is excited to celebrate tomorrow!

Ben's First Communion

Ben took his First communion during the Maundy Thursday service. We were excited that our dear friend Kara and Papa and Grandma could be there to celebrate this special night with us. Ben, you did so well, and we are very proud of you! May God continue to bless you each and every day!
